The OLED display is the perfect partner to
VBOX data logging systems. It is fully waterproof, and features sharp
graphics and simple operation for quick and easy in-vehicle use. The
OLED display has the ability to show a range of parameters, including
live and max speed, g-force, and lap times, and can quickly switch
between display modes using the Up and Down buttons.
The display has the capacity to start and stop logging in conjunction
with some VBOX models, and can also report logging status. The unit has
an internal accelerometer that flips the screen in accordance with the
way it is mounted, and the option to invert screen colors or display the
font as a high contrast outline to match lighting conditions makes it
very flexible. There are three versions of the display to suit a range
of applications and to ensure product compatibility. The unit is
available in either waterproof aluminium (pictured above) or splash
proof plastic and aluminium, with options for Fischer and Lemo
connectors. The display can work with VBOX 3i, Video VBOX, VBOX Micro,
VBOX III, VB2SX, VB20SL, VB20SL3, and Performance Box Sport – full
compatibility options are detailed in the specifications on this data
sheet.

MULTI FUNCTION DISPLAY |
|
 |
|
|
|
The VBOX Multifunction
Display connects to the CAN port of the VBOX.
It is designed to show a
large number of different variables and results on a clear backlit
LCD display that can be mounted on the windscreen. There is an
optional heavy duty rubber suction cup which screws into the back of
the display via a standard camera tripod style fixing.
The display can be used to
show velocity, distance, lap times, g-forces, temperatures, time
between speeds, any CAN parameter, and many more (see below) all in
real time without the need for a laptop.
In addition, the display has
a target screen which shows a bar graph of any parameter, alongside a
configurable target. This is very useful for maintaining a steady
brake pedal pressure, or deceleration rate during a brake stop.
The Multifunction display
can be setup from the display itself, or via the Windows VBOX
software.
