The VBOX Telemetry link consists of two radios which
provide a radio link from the VBOX to a laptop computer. The frequency of these
radios depends on the country in which they will be used, either 868 MHz (0.5
watt) or 901 MHz (2 watt). The range of the radios is around 2km, (or 8km line
of sight).
A typical use of the telemetry system is for pass by
noise tests, where the speed of the vehicle needs to be measured externally.
Another use for the Telemetry system is in the RTK system to link two GPS
engines together.
